Fleshy, appealingly sweet and expansive in the mouth, offering plush red and blue fruit flavors (blackberry, plum, raspberry & cherry) and a subtle note of candied licorice that builds in the glass. Pronounced flavors of black pepper, roasted meat and smoke. Becomes more energetic with air and finishes on a sweet red berry note, showing powerful thrust, harmonious tannins and impressive persistence.

Well-paired with barbecue, cassoulet and cheese. I am also good with Asian dishes, hearty fish courses like tuna, mushrooms, cheese, pasta, eggplant and tomatoes...
