Although my grapes were planted as early as 1839, it was not until 1979 that viticulture was revived in the Adelaide Hills. Located in the Mt Lofty Ranges thirty minutes drive from Adelaide, the elevation varies from around 350 metres, to over 710 metres at Mt Lofty. The Adelaide Hills is bordered to the North by the Barossa and Eden Valleys and McLaren Vale to the South, but due to its altitude, the Adelaide Hills is significantly cooler and wetter. |

I know I look a bit pale for a white wine, but I swear if you give me a chance to express myself, you’ll discover that I am far from being insipid. You may notice some of my tears running along the body of your glass, which a good indicator of the ripeness level of the fruit used to make me. |

I am often told I smell like fresh and lively aromas mostly of citrus fruits such as lemon, and lemon peel, along with pears with hints of orange blossom and honey. |

Don’t get me wrong! I can smell like honey but I am a dry white wine. I confess I am more textured once I am on the palate. My flavours are quite refreshing and pronounced. You can now taste those citrus fruits, pears and maybe some light stone fruits as well? If you serve me at the right temperature you can even discover subtle nutty notes, that my maker elaborated with a long-texturized finish revealing a buttery relish. |

Ideally, I would love to be paired with delicious Antipasti, or pasta alle vongole and a nice fish with a buttery sauce. I would also be great with a nice piece of French Comte cheese. Needless to say, that I am also enjoyable on my own. |
