What makes them special?
Sven Joschke, born and raised in the Adelaide Hills, has definitely taken the long way home. Spending the last 15 years abroad and interstate, Sven decided to ditch his life as a charted accountant and come back home to South Australia back in early 2018, swapping the Casio and Excel spreadsheets for his ultimate calling, making wine.
Guided by a couple winemaker friends in the Barossa, and inspired by his experience making wine in Jura, France, the mission has been clear from the get go for Sven… make it delicious, work your backside off, do it with love and most importantly, let nature do the talking.
Joschke’s wines are pure, with a modern twist, bringing a sense rawness about them in the glass. Sven boasts extreme gratitud to everyone that has helped him through this ‘fast and furious’ journey, with a special mention to the growers and their vineyards, considering the relentless hard yakka they put in to deliver the strong level of ‘quality fruit’ for these wines.
