Jacques Audras brings French winemaking savoir-faire to the Australian Context, using quality Australian fruit, the winemaking and quality of fruits speak for itself. All of Jacques’ wines rely upon minimal use of oak and as natural a process as possible.
Now in his third Shiraz vintage, and having also produced a Riesling and a Chardonnay, all utilising McLaren Vale grapes, Jacques is steadily building up an exclusive gamme of quality wines which are not able to be found anywhere else.
The nose is elegant powerful with bouquet of black fruit. Expect We can find violets as a first floral note, followed by blackberry, strawberry, blueberry and black cherry. There are also some spicy characters such as white pepper and a little bit of liquorice. The palate has a round and generous medium bodied wine, with flavour of rose first, then blueberry and blackcurrant with a long-lasting finish subtly showcasing some fruit development, such as caramel and prune.
