In 1847, the Menzel family was amongst a small group of pioneers, who settled in Lyndoch. The Menzel’s been the first to occupy God’s Hill and worked the land to raise their family. Amongst their mixed farm they planted the first vines on the eastern side of their farm where the current vineyard is situated. To honor this great family they have revived that vision and as a result named their premium label “Menzel”.
Color: deep purple ruby hue
Nose: a mix of dried stone fruit such as dried apricot, dried plum and dried black cherry. Plus a variety of spices, cinnamon, black pepper, supported with dark chocolate and crushed black rose petals.
Palate: full bodied and complex. The balance of its fruit and its own natural tannins are the corner stones for this classic full flavorsome Shiraz.
