‘Vin Gris’ is a French term, meaning a very light rosé wine made from red grapes.
This wine from Château La Colombiere is made from Négrette grapes, which are the winery’s mostly planted grape variety. All the vines are biodynamically farmed. Grapes for Vin Gris are hand-picked, de-stemmed and aged in stainless steel.
Aromatics: Aromatic rosé, violet, red berries and fresh strawberries.
Palate: Generous, spicy, textured, more delicious strawberry. Richer style dry rosé with plenty of personality and complexity. Savoury finish.
When to drink: Drink now or in the next 2-3 years after vintage.
Occasion: Aperitif, bbq or by the pool.
Food match: Seafood, poultry, duck and grilled pork, or simply by the glass as an aperitif!
