Domaine Philippe Goulley Petit Chablis 2018
The winery is based at La Chapelle Vaupelteigne, 5Km from the town of Chablis with only 2300 people and (some amaizing Charcuterie producing the best Andouillette I tasted so far), On the label, you will see 2 old tours which represent the entrance of the town of Chablis. Philippe took over the family vineyard in 1986 and became Organically grown since 1991 and has 14 hectares in production.
Made from a blend of 2 parcels located on the Chablis plateau (commune of Poinchy and Beines) at an altitude of about 260 metres on deep soils. The terroir gives this wine its characteristic lemon notes of Petit Chablis but also its vivacity.
The Colour: Beautiful yellow colour with green reflections.
The nose: Open and powerful with very pleasant fruit flavours.
The palate: Nice refreshing attack. This vintage gives it a nice roundness, the fruit is well present.
